It is hard to understand the legal status of LMC. The master plan of the housing society is by Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) instead of being approved by LDA. 

When the society was launched it was seen that it’s not under LDA limits. It fell under the management of the TMA and as such, it only needed approval from them.

LMC has been subject to LDA jurisdiction since December 2013. Thus, there’s a lot of lands that’s already been accepted by TMA. This means that the current understanding between LDA and LMC no longer requires the approval of LDA.

However, if LMC wants to grow outside the city limits, LDA must have to approve it first.
